2017 Animal Welfare European Expedition

IMG_0980Bienvenido!

This summer marks the third edition of the PennVet student trip to Europe in an effort to expand our knowledge on animal welfare on an international level. The trip has expanded this year to include Barcelona, Spain in addition to Apt, France and Teramo, Italy.

Four rising third year veterinary students students (Emily Egolf, Hayden Knabe, Carleigh Melofchik, Christina Murphy) and two rising second year students (Stephanie Kilucki and Rebecca Mayne) with a variety of vet med interests, from food animal to companion animal, we will be posting updates throughout our 3-week adventure.

We are kicking things off in Barcelona, Spain at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona Veterinary Medical School.

The goal of this adventure is to expand our veterinary curricula on animal welfare and to collaborate with colleagues on an international level while sharing it via this blog to a broader audience.

We hope you will share this adventure with us!

-Christina, Emily, Hayden, Carleigh, Stephanie and Rebecca
